From a question to a useful contribution
Research begins with a question that matters and an approach capable of answering it. CARE's proposed research activities focus on educational practice, research capability and the exchange of knowledge across institutional boundaries.
Educational practice and learning
We welcome conversations about teaching approaches, learner engagement, assessment and the use of evidence in educational improvement. A potential project should identify the context, intended participants and the practical question it hopes to clarify.
Research capability and responsible scholarship
Research methods, academic writing and publication ethics are important areas for capacity building. We are interested in learning activities that help participants formulate questions, assess sources, document methods and communicate findings responsibly.
Education, technology and innovation
Digital tools can be examined through the needs of learners and educators. Possible topics include access, usability, teaching practice and the responsible use of emerging tools. A proposed initiative should explain its purpose and how its usefulness will be assessed.
Propose a collaboration
Share a short description of your question, the context, the type of contribution you are seeking and the stage of your work. Avoid including confidential participant data in an initial enquiry. CARE will review the proposal and discuss scope and responsibilities before a project is announced.
How project information will be presented
Confirmed projects will have a clear status, an agreed scope, responsible contributors and relevant outputs. Completed work can be accompanied by a report or learning resource. Planned themes shown here are areas for exploration; they are not a list of completed research studies.
